It happened to be, that today in San José I was not able to continue my way to Nicaragua. There were no buses, the taxi driver told me, because of a festival. First I thought he was fooling me to make money, but it turned out the truth! So I unexpectedly am spending a night in the capital of Costa Rica, joining a famous christmas parade. They welcome the holiday – due to the name „festival de la luz“ – with illuminated parade floats, music bands, dancing and masquerade. It seems the whole country had arrived to watch this spectacle!
